About Me
I’ve always loved climbing trees, walls and anything else that I could climb up. After going to an indoor climbing party when I was 9 years old, I realised that I could climb higher and started to have lessons at a local wall.
In 2011 and 2012, I was entering competitions and improving. By 2013 I’d been selected for the Junior GB Bouldering Team. I remained in the team until 2017, when I chose to step down so I could focus on improving my climbing outdoors, explore other activities like paddle sports, hiking and ultimately work towards achieving my dream job as an outdoor instructor. Whilst I was in the team, I became to Junior British Bouldering Champion in 2015 and competed internationally 9 times over the 4 years.
Fast forward to 6 years after the GB Team, aged 24, I’m currently based in Keswick, Lake District, where I have been working as a qualified outdoor instructor. I’ve gained my Summer Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Paddle sports Leader and a whole other range of qualifications that allow me to work in a multitude of epic locations showing school children, corporate groups and holiday-makers a taste of adventure.
Definitely an adrenaline junkie! I’ve skydived in England, bungee jumped and skied in Scotland, scrambled ridgelines and sent the fastest zip wire in the world down in Wales. As well as all the usual climbing, biking, running and swimming of course!
My dream job was inspired in 2010, by my Year 6 residential trip to Bude. It was here that I tried lots of new activities for the first time including sailing, high ropes, surfing and kayaking. Instantly, I knew that I wanted to do something like that when I was older. Now I have the opportunity to encourage others who are taking part in their journey to adventure, it’s a great privilege.
