Beyond the GB Team

Although I'm no longer doing competitions there was one comp that I've never taken part in and I just had to enter, BIFF! I did the first round at the Climbing Works in Sheffield and was really pleased to finish 7th. This meant I had qualified for the BIFF Final, again at the Works in January. Went along and we had 23 qualifying campus problems along with other crazy challenges. I managed to get 19 tops and do alright on the challenges which meant I finished 15th overall! Well chuffed with that result.
That was it for the indoor scene as I'm loving the freedom of outside bouldering and I'm working my way through the Peak Bouldering Guidebook classics. Recent outdoor trips have given me good results, so pleased to have ticked off my 4th and 5th 7c's, Calorie Count at Nudas and Jerry's Traverse (there and back!) at Cratcliffe. Hoping for plenty more of the same and to continue to push for harder grades.
Since leaving the GB Junior Bouldering Team, I'm really pleased to now be part of the Beyond Hope Climbing Team, (supported by Evolv, Prana and Metolius) as they have offered to sponsor me. It's great to be associated with such cool brands to represent when I’m bouldering outdoors, climbing inside and general everyday life at college and home.
Also, it's that ShAFF time of year again so don't forget to check out their website of what's happening, book some tickets to go and watch some cool films and have a sweet weekend up in Sheff.
